South Asian Comedy Night - Comediasians at Hoopla Impro, London

7 Asians stand on stage of whom at least 3 are South Asian and others are East and/or Southeast Asian

Transqueerian British East Asian Stand-up, Performance art/improv & Comediasians. Left to right: The Mollusc Dimension, The Last Penalty Taker Standing and Comediasians: Holly Thompson, Si Gomes, Anupam Sharma, Kelsey Yuhara and Stephen Lee

The Mollusc Dimension doing stand-up.

Thank you to Comediasians for platforming my stand-up set as a transqueerian East Asian guest and for many entertaining scenes and characters.

The long-form improv by Rajesh Patel took us on a mysterious and absurdist journey.

Thanks also to Hoopla for letting Comediasians have the space.

I wrote a few years ago about how frustrated I felt about stand-up erasing East Asians and also the sino-misogyny I encountered. Reclaiming space can take time but I feel like I’ve come a long way.

Please check out my socials for upcoming shows!

Thanks to Jake for the sound, everyone who attended and whoever took these photos.

Listen to Asians Have Feelings Too on SoundCloud.

If you found my blog interesting or useful, please check out my song, Asians Have Feelings Too. It’s #StopAsianHate meets LGBTIQA+ with a magical message for all.

It’s out on Spotify, Band camp, Apple Music and other platforms!

I’m currently looking for reviews and radio/podcast play.

So if you reviewed the song or would like to play the song on your show, please do get in touch.

Did you know, there’s an instrumental version too!?
