Art: The Mollusc Dimension

Born in 1980, The Mollusc Dimension (he/him) is a British-born Chinese, multidisciplinary, project-based artist working with comics, zines, music, poetry, and performance.

He enjoys composing music for clients and performing playful/lyrical, often interactive songs for people.

Having self-published 18 zines, he is working on his debut autobiographical comic book, “The Weird and Wonderful Surviveries of Squid Horse” exploring mental health, grief and trauma through colour, the magic of creativity and absurd humour.

He has given talks on his art for LD Comics and Queer China UK and tabled at zines fairs since 2011 - most recently at Helsinki Comics Fest, ESEA Gather ‘N” Grow and ESEA Cultural Festival.

He’s performed live for besea.n, Beanpig Puppets, Bitten Peach UK, ESEA Sisters, FOC it up Comedy, London Trans Choir, Queens Theatre Hornchurch, Trans Pride Brighton and many more!

The Mollusc Dimension’s poetry has been published by Out on the Page, Snowflake Magazine and the forthcoming Bluebird Anthology.

In 2022 he made "Asians Have Feelings Too" - a song, show and music video which received Arts Council Funding and an award from Trans Pride Brighton.
