As an independent artist, when you order from me, you are also contributing to my artist costs which include equipment, costumes, studio hire, admin, power, website fees and so on!
Spotify lets you play but it doesn’t really pay.
You may be paying for Spotify but as I’ve not yet reached the ridiculously high number of stream they require to for even a dollar payout, but Spotify have never paid me..
I do appreciate all the streams. It’s great for distributions, however I cannot pay my tech bills in distribution figures.. let’s not even get started on the pizza and malt bread bills…
So.. if you like an artist’s work, especially if they’re a small artist (LIKE ME!) please support them by buying their music and merchandise.
